Clickade Game Verification Manual
Verification helps players know that a Clickade game is legitimate, accurately represented, and published by someone authorized to publish it.
Any game on Clickade can be verified, whether it is free or paid.
Verified games receive a visible Verified status. Verification is not a quality award or recommendation. It means Clickade has reviewed the game and confirmed that it meets the platform's verification requirements.
For monetized games, verification also affects creator earnings. Players may spend Clickade Tokens on an unverified game through a paid session or one-time purchase, but Clickade will hold the creator's earnings until the game has been verified.
Most verification requests are completed in less than 24 hours, although reviews may take up to 48 hours.
1. What Verification Checks
Clickade staff may check that:
- you created the game, own it, or have permission to publish it;
- the uploaded game works well enough to review;
- the game reasonably matches its title, description, screenshots, and videos;
- the game is not an unauthorized reupload of somebody else's work;
- you are not impersonating another creator or project;
- important third-party material is being used appropriately;
- the game follows Clickade's platform rules;
- if the game is monetized, you have the right to monetize it.
Verification is not a judgment of quality.
A ten-minute hobby project can be verified. A gigantic professional game can fail verification.
Clickade is checking whether the game is legitimate, not whether it deserves Game of the Year.
2. Why Verify a Free Game?
Free games can benefit from verification too.
A Verified badge can help players know that:
- the upload comes from the actual creator or an authorized publisher;
- the game has been reviewed by Clickade;
- the listing is not pretending to be another game;
- the listing reasonably represents what is being offered.
Creators may also verify a free game before choosing to monetize it later.
3. Proving Ownership
Clickade may ask for evidence that you are authorized to publish the game.
Possible evidence includes:
- a source-code repository you control;
- development or project files;
- an official website associated with the game;
- development screenshots or videos;
- earlier builds;
- creator accounts connected to the project;
- evidence that you are part of the development team;
- written permission from the game's owner or publisher.
You do not need to make your source code public merely to request verification.
Clickade only needs enough evidence to reasonably establish that the upload is legitimate.
4. Third-Party Assets
Using content you did not personally create does not automatically prevent verification.
A game may use:
- licensed asset packs;
- open-source libraries;
- fonts;
- sound effects;
- music;
- game engines;
- public-domain content;
- work made by collaborators.
You are responsible for making sure you are allowed to use that material.
If licensing is unclear, Clickade may ask for additional information.
5. Fan Games and Existing Properties
Games based on another person's or company's intellectual property may require additional review.
Being a fan project does not automatically grant permission to distribute or monetize copyrighted material.
Clickade may ask for evidence that your use is authorized when necessary.
Uploading someone else's browser game, commercial game, client, or modified copy and changing its filename does not make it original.
SomeGame_REAL_FINAL_FIXED_v9.zip is still the same game.
6. Verification and Monetization
Verification is available to both free and monetized games.
For monetized games, creator earnings cannot be released while the game remains unverified.
While verification is pending:
| Action | Allowed? |
|---|---|
| Players can view the game | Yes |
| Players can play if otherwise allowed | Yes |
| Players can spend Tokens | Yes |
| Transactions are recorded | Yes |
| Creator earnings are tracked | Yes |
| Creator can access those held earnings for payout | No |
Examples:
20 Token / 60-minute session
Player spends: 20 Tokens
Total value: $2.00
Creator share: $1.60
Clickade share: $0.40
Game status: Unverified
Available earnings: $0.00
Held earnings: $1.60
50 Token one-time purchase
Player spends: 50 Tokens
Total value: $5.00
Ownership: Permanent
Creator share: $4.00
Clickade share: $1.00
Game status: Unverified
Available earnings: $0.00
Held earnings: $4.00
Both transaction types use the same verification hold. Once the game is verified, eligible held earnings may become available according to Clickade's payout rules.
7. If Verification Is Approved
The game receives its Verified status.
For free games, this primarily acts as an authenticity and trust indicator.
For monetized games, verification also allows eligible creator earnings to move out of verification hold.
Under Clickade's standard revenue split:
- Creator: 80%
- Clickade: 20%
At a value of $0.10 per Token, the creator share is $0.08 per eligible Token spent.
8. If Verification Is Rejected
A rejected verification request does not automatically mean the game must be removed.
Depending on the reason, the game may simply remain Unverified.
Possible reasons include:
- insufficient evidence of ownership;
- unclear licensing;
- inability to verify the publisher;
- misleading game information;
- broken or inaccessible builds;
- unauthorized redistribution;
- missing monetization rights for a paid game.
Creators may generally fix the problem, provide additional evidence, and request verification again.
Deliberately submitting stolen games, forged evidence, or repeatedly attempting to bypass verification may result in moderation action.
9. Verification Can Be Removed
Verification can be suspended or revoked if new information shows that the game no longer meets Clickade's requirements.
This may happen if:
- ownership information turns out to be false;
- a legitimate ownership or copyright dispute appears;
- the game changes substantially;
- prohibited content is added;
- distribution or monetization permission is lost;
- the publisher uses verification deceptively.
If a monetized game's verification is suspended, creator payouts from that game may also be frozen while the issue is reviewed.
Historical transaction records are retained so earnings can be properly audited.
10. Updating a Verified Game
Normal updates do not require a full verification process every time.
Bug fixes, new levels, balancing changes, graphics updates, and similar development are generally fine.
Clickade may request another review after a major change, especially when the update affects:
- ownership;
- the game's core identity;
- licensing;
- monetization;
- executable behavior;
- security-sensitive functionality.
11. Verification Is Not Moderation Immunity
A Verified badge does not guarantee that a game will remain published forever.
Verified games must continue following Clickade's content, security, publishing, and monetization rules.
A verified game may still be restricted, demonetized, unverified, or removed when appropriate.
12. Quick Summary
Verification = authenticity and trust for every Clickade game.
It is useful for free games and required before monetized-game creator earnings can be released.
Verification tells players that Clickade has reviewed who is publishing the game and whether the listing is legitimate. It does not mean Clickade is declaring the game perfect, safe forever, or officially endorsed.
